Monday, 12.02.07: Anglican High vs. Ngee Ann Secondary.2nd ball of the 1st doubles match,I gei kiang la,and thought that the return ball would be long enough for me to 拉. My hand hit the edge of the table & my bat literally flew high up,across the court (notice I didn't say table) & everybody went,"Whoaaaaaa". Fortunately,my opponent,Susanna,is also a basketballer & was quick enough to dodge my bat. Miraculously, there wasn't even a scratch on my bat but my right thumb was skinned. I didn't realise that it was bleeding until a service later. The match was paused & I was granted permission to go to the Ladies to wash the wound. The match resumed soon after but my right hand was shivering because I couldn't apply much strength in gripping my bat. Strangely,my thumb hurt more during the breaks than when playing the match. Maybe it was because I was afraid that I would make alot of mistakes & cause us to lose. I wasn't nervous, just afraid. And I had to keep wiping off the blood with my jersey during the intervals. Gross,I know. But I had no choice, my towel wasn't nearby & I had nothing else to wipe the blood onto. Now, I think the wound looks like a blotched tattoo job. Looks something like I wanted a dragon or snake tattoo, but couldn't bear the pain & backed out just after a few shots & now it looks like a worm. Hahaha. Alright,if I look at it at a different perspective,it's a blessing in disguise. Maybe this is the closest I'll be to getting a tattoo. Wednesday, 14.02.07: February the 14th. Valentines' Day. A day which most people look forward to.V Day was alright for me,but not that great. Don't be mistaken. I really appreciate the chocolates, sweets, wishes, letters & flowers you guys gave (those that were edible, I ate them all on the bus to PLMGS.Haha). Anyway,it was Anglican High vs. Chung Cheng High at PLMGS on V Day itself. What a great way to celebrate V Day. We lost 3-2. But I don't see why we should be feeling so down because of the loss. It's not like the champion trophy is out of our reach the moment we lost to CCH. As long as we still have determination & perserverence,we can still clinch the golden trophy. Friday, 16.02.07: This was the day that I had gotten the highest mark among all my English Literature tests I've done in my whole life. A 20/25. Okay,it was an open-book test but answering of the essay question still requires skills. So,KC was saying that I couldn't finish the test in time despite copying from the notes. I guessed the marks proved that finishing the essay in time isn't important, but what's important is the quality of the contents. Lol. This day was also my Dad's birthday. So,we went out for a simple birthday dinner in the evening. Saturday, 17.02.07:Went out in the afternoon with family to Ikea Tampines to buy more plants. Why is it that after looking at the prices, we had the feeling that we have been cheated at the nurseries? If anyone need to buy plants, please buy from Ikea. We bought like 4 trees. 3 bamboo trees & a normal one. Then my parents had to try to fit all 4 trees into the car because the Ikea couldn't have it delivered before New Year since it was already the Eve & half of its staffs probably had already gone home to prepare for the reunion. I felt like I was in a 'Jungle On The Move' on the way home. People from other cars were staring. That night,we went out for a reunion dinner. My Dad said that,“不如我们今年过一个与众不同的除夕夜。” Traditions aside, and we ended up having a Swensen Reunion Dinner at Toa Payoh. Then,we headed down to the Thomson nurseries since they were nearby Toa Payoh & my parents wanted to buy those tubings which you insert into the soil of indoor plants so that when the water level in the tubing is low,you know it's time to water the plants. My siblings & I waited in the car,and after a long time,my parents appeared with another tree.Reason was,the tubings were sold out & they happened to see the tree at a discounted price(which didn't seem very discounted to me),so they got it. For the second time of the day,I went home in a mobile mini-jungle. Sunday, 18.02.07:First day of the Chinese New Year. It's also a 与众不同 Chinese New Year. Why do I say so? Because there was no traditional reunion dinner & most importantly,no new clothes. My parents were more busy & interested in dressing up the house in plants than their children. Now,my house has so many plants & trees that we can jolly well open a nursery. I was alright with wearing old clothes. Alright, they aren't exactly old. I bought so much clothes from the Taiwan-Hongkong trip a year ago that I didn't even wear some of them.Plus, I bought some clothes recently which I only wore once or twice. So, after putting on a long-sleeved white top from Taiwan, denim skirt from Outfitter, belt from Espirit in Hongkong, earrings given by Zhiying, I was looking pretty decent. Okay, the skirt wasn't exactly what I would call decent-looking. It was short and I had to act so feminine that I didn't feel like I'm me. But at least,I looked presentable enough to go visiting. First,we went to my maternal Grandma's house. I saw my 2 half-Vietnamnese cousins whom I haven't seen for about a year. They looked so pretty with huge eyes. But I didn't get to see their younger brother of a year old because he's in Vietnam. The eldest is only 4 years old but her handwriting is really nice. So much better than your average-kiddy-handwriting. She could even write in cursive & I do think that her cursive writing is so much better than mine. Yes,I do feel very inferior that I can't even write in cursive. Even when I sign my name, people commented that it looks like 'Commie' or 'Comie'. What a failure. Then,we went to my paternal Grandma's house. Had lunch there. I finally got to eat the food my Grandma prepared. She had a fall about 6 months ago & had to undergo 3 operations. So,I was really happy that she recovered and plus I got to eat lunch at her house. The food she cooks is really SUPERB. My Mum's culinary skills can't even compared to half of hers. Lol. My cousin came too, with her newborn 4 months-old daughter & her husband. I didn't know what to address her husband & her,now that she's married with a child. I used to call her 'Jie Jie',but it seems kinda weird if I called both her husband & her 'Uncle & Auntie' because they looked quite young. In the end, I decided to just say "Happy New Year" without the addressing. But my sister just went ahead & addressed her husband as "Uncle". Hahaha. We went home after that. We only visited 2 houses. Later in the evening,we went to Changi Airport for dinner at Sakae because that's the only place we knew that would definitely be opened for business. Monday, 19.02.07:Stayed home the whole morning & afternoon & watched Hana Kimi online. Went to my Aunt's house later in the evening. The food there was also superb. Looks like my Mum's cooking is really behind everyone's. Tuesday, 20.02.07:Went out for brunch at Simpang with Mom & Dad. Maybe later in afternoon,at about 3pm,I'm going out with Yingiet,Tracy,Kristy & Shanmin to go house-visiting. Haha. The above is a summary of my whole week. And I wish everyone, “猪年顺利,新年快乐!!!” Bye! ^^

O Levels results were out 2 days ago & I got my Chinese results. An A2. I made it!!! Alright, maybe not too fabulously, but still,I get to stay on in the Higher Chinese class. That, really was a burden taken off my heart. At last,I feel like I'm breathing normally. Exaggeration? No. The few days before O Levels results, my mind was just: B4 & that's it,you're out. And so,I could go to Paya Lebar Methodist Girls' for Table-tennis East-Zones with a not-so-uptight mind. Another piece of good news, B Div Girls won St Hilda's 5-0 & C Div Girls won Chung Cheng High 4-1. However,it's not the time to get too happy, for we still have another 5 matches to go. Much tougher matches,I dare say. So neither of us should let our guards down. Sorry,I would like to continue this entry but I need to do Maths practices now so that I would be somewhat prepared for the AMath test on Tuesday. Till then! Labels: I made it

It turned out that I have time to blog just before tomorrow's zonals. I had a haircut today. Shanmin went with me. I feel bad that she missed her tuition. Sorry! She said that my hair isn't much different even after the haircut. I told her that it does have a difference. Then after coming back home & looking into the mirror, yes there is not much difference.Haha. Tomorrow,we're getting back our 'O' Levels Chinese Results. I'm so afraid that I might not make it to continue in Higher Chinese. 3 years of studying Higher Chinese & the moment I get my results,*POOF*,I'm back to Express Chinese. This feeling just sucks. No matter what 孙老师 have been saying about almost everyone in a class will get B3 & above, I just can't help feeling this way. Some classmates were joking that what if they do not make it when they know that they'll definitely make it. It just makes me feel worse. I have no idea what the hell I was doing the whole of last year. I didn't bother to work hard & wasted the whole of 365 days away just like that. This year, reality is starting to catch up with me,I'm starting to wake up from 'wonderland'. And I hope it's not too late. I really want to make it, to continue in Higher Chinese & to get admitted into a reputable JC. Labels: Bad feeling

Surprised to see an update here?Haha.I'm surprised too, that I tried typing in my username & password for my blogger account for like,5 times before I got the combinations correct.I've not blog for so long that I forgot my account's username & password. But I won't apologise this time round because if I do,then almost every post will contain apologies for not updating. There'll be no end to it. Oh well, the same old excuse I would give.Schoolwork's overwhelming,I have no time. Moreover,I can't log in to blogger,so I can't get onto the 'Posts' page. But,here I am now.I've not much homework today,I have some time,in my sister's room using her computer to blog,I can log in to blogger & I can get onto the 'Posts' page. Table-tennis zonals are starting very soon (some already have).Everyone's using the little time they've got, before east-zone actually start,to train up to their best. It's gonna be another 5 tough fights.I probably won't have the time to blog before the competitions start. So,I'll just take this chance to tell my teammates,加油!^^ Okay,I'm done with my entry.Bye. First of all, I'm a Kpop fan, especially of 2PM, MBLAQ, 2NE1 and FT Island. Actually, I like Kpop, Korean entertainment, Korean dramas, Korean language, Korean culture, Korean food, basically anything Korean. So I guess you can call me a fan of Korea.
Second, eating is one of my favourite pastimes. I think my size says it all. =P I'm not picky about food but there's only one thing that I don't like eating, that is, sweet potato.
Third, I love sports. Been playing table tennis for about 6 years now, and floorball, 2 years. But I would have to say that I like floorball more. I don't know, but putting the ball into the goal, making an accurate pass, chasing after the ball, even sweating like a pig, gives me the sense of satisfaction that nothing else can.
Fourth, I can't live without the Internet. You can take away my phone, TV, mp3, bed, but please don't take away my Internet because...I just can't live without the internet.
Lastly, if there's anything I dislike, it would have to be making decisions. Where to go, what to eat, what to do next, which is nicer/better...I just don't like deciding. I always leave it to others because honestly, it doesn't matter where we're going, what we're eating or what we're doing to do. What matters most is the company and whether we're having a great time together.
