Yesterday was the City Tour Learning Journey. Most of us had classes before the learning journey. So after our classes, the whole group of us headed for Simpang's meepok for lunch before heading back to school the the learning journey. Zhiying said there were at least 20 of us at Simpang. Haha. Here are the photos (courtesy of Zhiying) of the places we went to during the learning journey: St. Andrew's Cathedral: New Supreme Court:Go to Zhiying's blog ( http://www.zyhsim.blogspot.com/) if you weren't listening to that tour guide yesterday or wish to know more about the history of the various places we went to. All in all, the learning journey was fun except for some parts of it. Walking around under the scorching sun wasn't my idea of fun. Haha. New Supreme Court was the best. We got to go into an actual High Court and to our surprises, it wasn't as big as what we always see on TV. It was pathetically small. But then again, it may be made like that probably to only contain people or relatives who are closely related to a certain case, and not curious & gossipy Singaporeans who come from all over the country and had gathered to listen to the case so as to kill time. We also got to go onto the top-most storey & got a wonderful view of the part of the city & the Central Business District. Zhiying's right, the glass panels looked almost non-existent. It was like one step out onto the glass panels and we might just fall out of the 9th storey. Haha. Labels: City Tour Learning Journey

There's the city tour learning journey tomorrow! I'm feeling kinda excited. Maybe it's because the whole of 4F is going out together as a class. We haven't have any class outings recently. So maybe that's why I'm looking forward to a 4-hour city tour. Haha. ************************ This may seem random but I thought it was funny. Last Saturday, after coming back home from dinner at Bugis' Aji Tei, I was in a childish mood and felt like disturbing my bro & sis. So I said,“你们懂什么是 oogly 吗?”They gave me the I-don't-know looks, anticipating the answer. I said, "oogly 是 ugly." Then they gave me the Looks. I went on to irritate my bro by saying that he's oogly repeatedly(bet you didn't think I would be so childish). Suddenly, he said,“你很oogly,我很hansoom。”At first, I was thinking why my bro was speaking in a foreign language. After a moment of shock, then did I realise he meant 'handsome'. What the hell. I laughed until I couldn't shoot back. ************************ I've been watching '微笑Pasta' recently. Two classic lines from the drama which I found motivating,“只要笑一笑,没什么事清过不了”& “我只跟我自己比”。I don't know, maybe these two lines may come in handy to motivate someone or ourselves. Yesterday was the last day of school for Term 2. Of course, it was also the day for receiving of dreaded report books and PTC. My results are as followed: English Language: 71.5 (A2) Higher Chinese: 63.1 (B4) Additional Mathematics: 51.5 (C6) Mathematics: 62.3 (B4) Biology: 78.4 (A1) Chemistry: 70.4 (A2) Combined Humanities (Social Studies & English Lit) : 67.1 (B3) Geography: 74.6 (A2) Percentage: 69.6 L1R5: 14 Class Position: 7/39 PTC was alright. Both my Dad & my teachers didn't have much to say so the occasional long pauses were awkward. Hahaha. Holidays are here but there's no time to have fun. Homeworks are piled up higher than ever before, there so many remedials to attend & revisions to be done. 3 more months till Prelims. No doubt the next 3 months are going to be all work & no play. Monday, May the 21st, was Shanmin's 16th birthday! It was also the day on which we got to be karang-gunis for a morning. To be exact, we had CIP in the morning at Simei to collected old clothes & newspaper for AHS recycling project to raise fund for charity. I believe we all had learned something new from it or tried to do something which we have not done before. Be it the giving out of fliers or the tying of ruffia strings round stacks of newspaper. Well, for me, it was both. I have never give out fliers before nor did I know what to do with a piece of ruffia string. So, I can say that it was a rather meaningful and fruitful CIP. Right after CIP, the 12 of us girls(table-tennis,basketball & netball) headed to Pizza Hut at Tampines Mall to celebrate Shanmin's birthday. I supposed the big group of us walking together did invite some stares. Hahaha. Lunch was great. After which, we went to take some neoprints. It wasn't easy with the 11 of us (Steph went off first) trying to squeeze ourselves into one machine & getting ourselves captured in the pictures. But I've to admit it, the fun is greater than that of 2 girls taking neoprints. The endless laughters, how we tried to change positions as fast as possible before the camera went '3,2,1,flash' and how Zhiying & Kristy 'decorated' the neoprints by doing 'cosmetic surgery' on almost everyone of us. ************************* On Tuesday, after school, Andrea,Tracy & Zhiying came over to my house for pool. Another session of laughters. Zhiying's white ball can always jump up and then roll into the pocket. Hahaha. After pool, we watched Doll Master which was a horror movie but didn't seem too much of a horror. Haha. ************************* On Wednesday, Tracy & Zhiying came over to my house for pool. ************************* School these few days had been really boring. The post-exam activities are nothing of our interests. We had this Career Fair today and we were made to cram in the tower hall together with the Sec 3s for nearly 3 hours to listen to people of different professions talk about their professions. It was so uncomfortable having to be confined to such a small space that you can't even stretch your legs out when your legs hurts from being folded up for so long. Beside my butt & legs hurting, my bladder felt like bursting. I regretted drinking so much water in the morning. When the whole programme finally ended, I felt like I no longer had a bladder. But I must say that Mr Benjamin Tan's & Mr Yow's skit was hilarious. After school, went with the girls to Simpang Bedok for the famous Jalan Tua Kong Kway Teow Mee for lunch before heading home. ************************* Okay, I heard this on radio 100.3 last night and it cracked me up. This listener, a man(most probably english-educated), called in. DJ: 喂。你好? (Hello. How are you?) Listener: 我好。 (I'm fine.) Read the words in brackets to get the idea of why it's funny. He translated from English to Chinese directly. It shows how important bilingualism is. Without it, we'll generally be making fools out of ourselves. Labels: Happy 16th Birthday to Shanmin

MYEs ended on Tuesday after which we went to Tampines Mall to catch 200 Pounds Beauty before it goes off-screen from all cinemas islandwide. The actress's so good-looking. Kim Ah Joong's drop-dead gorgeous with a figure that most women can only dream of. And to top it all off, is Kim Ah Joong's powerful voice. She sang several songs from the movie's soundtrack. Great show, I must say. After all, any show that comes from Korea is worth watching. Not that I'm biased, but they have really good scriptwriters. And what really makes this movie outstanding, in my opinion, is that it is based on the hotly-debated & controversial topic of cosmetic surgery. After the movie, we took neoprints at Century Square. It was Zhiying's lucky day. But I shan't say why because I may get hacked into pieces. Hahaha. **************** On Wednesday, after school, we went to Simei to give out fliers for the AHS Recycling Project 2007. Our CIP. The blocks of flats allocated to us were sure far away from Eastpoint. It was tiring to walk that much to and back. Our task was finally done and we headed for Eastpoint to grab something to fill our empty stomachs. Things didn't seem as enjoyable over at the boys' table. The atmosphere was tense. It was as if one wrong word from anyone, a fight might have broke out. You bet that the girls did heave sighs of relief when the boys finally dispersed and went home.
****************
Yesterday, after school, the girls came over my house for tennis. I had great fun with them. Nearly 3 hours at tennis drained the energy out of us. After tennis, Tracy,Yingiet & Zhiying went off while Shanmin & I went to the clubhouse to play pool. I was never any good at pool for I miss the white ball more than I hit it. It's a miracle I didn't poke the pool stick right into the pool table felt. But it was fun playing with Shanmin. She's really good at it. We played 2 games before she went home.

We've gotten back most of our exam papers over the past few days but only Biology & English has been satisfactory. The rest of the subjects were below expectations. I failed A Math with 44/100. Sucks, I've never pass A Math and never will.
My sister failed her A Math too. It's no wonder because she said she did only 1 out of 12 questions. Wow,that's some courage. But I supposed her other subjects are WAY above expectations. So her badly-done A Math probably won't affect her overall results much.
But mine's a totally different story because almost everything is way below expectations. Sucks again. Labels: Exams' over

The past few days of the week had been hellacious. I've been staying up every night till unworldly hours, trying to complete studying for the exam on the next day, getting less than 4 hours of sleep per day. Studying till the wee hours is definitely not something I enjoy doing. I had to battle fatigue and the eeriness of studying alone in my room where everything else is so quiet. All it takes is the slightest sound to make me jump. Yes,I'm timid. Caffeine was what kept me going. I've been drinking quite a lot,and all sorts,of coffee over the past few days in an attempt to keep myself awake and focused to last through the night. So much coffee that I'm afraid that I'll become a caffeine-addict. Hahaha. Due to the lack of sleep,I have outbreaks of more pimples than usual, huge eyebags & blood-shot eyes that Tracy commented that I should get more sleep before I look like I put on thick eye makeup. But well, that's the price to pay for procrastination till the very last minute. Now I have eyebags huge enough to be shopping bags. I was more or less prepared for the exams but I'm not guaranteed of good results. I was spotting the question on human nature in Macbeth to be tested for Elective Literature but the question on 'Good triumphs Evil' came out instead. Fortunately,I had read through all the 5 essays,of which 1 will be tested, and was able to throw everything out onto the paper except for a few lines. However,I'm so confident of failing A Math with 20/100 or less. My mind blanked out probably due to the lack of sleep & I couldn't remember the formulaes so I practically couldn't do all the questions. Frankly-speaking,I've never done any paper so badly before. Last year,I was so confident of passing A Math but I failed with 45/100. So now,I'm very confident of failing, wouldn't the score be lower?
Okay, what's over is over and what's done cannot be undone. I shall stop brooding over it. Alright,I can finally have a good sleep tonight and wake up at 12noon tomorrow with the sunlight shining on my butt since I don't have any exams tomorrow and hence,do not need to attend school.

I slept for only 2 and a half hours yesterday night today morning. Sure,I felt like giving up at some point of time but I knew I would be dead meat for E math exam if I don't continue memorising the fomulaes & what kind of questions would be tested. So with my eyes threatening to close anytime,I had to go on. Finally,at around 2.30am,I was done with studying. I felt weird brushing my teeth in the wee hours. E Math & Geography papers today was average. I wouldn't call them easy or difficult. But more sleep would have enabled me to remember & throw out the facts I've memorised better. I went down to Outram right after the exams for my orthodontist appointment at NDC. It was a long wait before my turn finally came. I was so sleepy but willed myself not to fall asleep in case the queue number flashes when I doze off. After that,I walked around the area between Outram & Chinatown. There was a lady setting up her stall on the ground and there were so many men surrounding it that I couldn't catch a glimpse of what's in the center of them. And I heard someone asking(more of scolding) the lady,"How can you sell such things here?" That's it,I don't need to see it to know what are the 'such things'. I can't be wrong. Uncle(Mum's brother) & his family came over to our house today. Then we went for dinner in the evening at the Punggol Choon Seng Seafood near my house. Auntie really has good dress sense & a svelte figure. A thousand looks at her,you still won't believe that she's already a mother of 3. And can you believe it? We were talking about selling things(clothes, fashion) online & online auctioning, despite the age gap. *************** Tomorrow's my parents' 20th wedding anniversary. Fifth of May. HAPPY 20TH ANNIVERSARY,MUM & DAD!
Heh,I did not prepare a present because I have no money, spent them all on food. Hahaha. *************** Ok,it's time I end this entry. I'm really really tired now. Labels: Lack of sleep

First of all, I'm a Kpop fan, especially of 2PM, MBLAQ, 2NE1 and FT Island. Actually, I like Kpop, Korean entertainment, Korean dramas, Korean language, Korean culture, Korean food, basically anything Korean. So I guess you can call me a fan of Korea.
Second, eating is one of my favourite pastimes. I think my size says it all. =P I'm not picky about food but there's only one thing that I don't like eating, that is, sweet potato.
Third, I love sports. Been playing table tennis for about 6 years now, and floorball, 2 years. But I would have to say that I like floorball more. I don't know, but putting the ball into the goal, making an accurate pass, chasing after the ball, even sweating like a pig, gives me the sense of satisfaction that nothing else can.
Fourth, I can't live without the Internet. You can take away my phone, TV, mp3, bed, but please don't take away my Internet because...I just can't live without the internet.
Lastly, if there's anything I dislike, it would have to be making decisions. Where to go, what to eat, what to do next, which is nicer/better...I just don't like deciding. I always leave it to others because honestly, it doesn't matter where we're going, what we're eating or what we're doing to do. What matters most is the company and whether we're having a great time together.
