Went to the orthodontist's after school. Even though I was punctual and arrived before the appointed time, I still had to wait. The air conditioner made me feel sleepy. Was almost dozing off when the buzzer for my turn knocked me out of it. I changed the rubber bands to black! Haha. This is my second time for choosing black. My teeth now looks decayed from both afar and close-up. Haha. After the appointment, I called my dad to ask if he was anywhere near town and if he could fetch me home because I was too tired to take the MRT and spent the whole 1 hour journey standing. Fortunately, he was, and came to pick me up. And I fell right asleep in the car. Haha. I got a message from AC to ask me go for the trial this Thursday. But, I think I'll give it a miss. Alright, I have to go memorise 演讲词 essays for tomorrow's 演讲词 test. See ya! Labels: Orthodontist appointment

Friday's english composition mock exam was a total screw-up. I had about half an hour left to write my situational writing in a state of partial mental blockness because I couldn't think of any points to elaborate on. I became more and more panicky as the clock ticked away. I submitted a half-page situational writing in the end. Miss Ng's going to faint upon seeing it. After starving ourselves the whole day to study for Biology SPA & the mock exam, the girls and I finally got to have a late lunch at East Point's Long John Silver after school. Shortly after I reached home, I went out with my family to have dinner at Tampines Mall's Din Tai Fung. Ate alot of baos & dumplings, my favourites. I'm currently in this dumpling or something-wrapped-in-something craze. I used to always have dumpling soup everytime I eat out but I'm slowly growing out of it because I don't find myself having as much dumpling soup as I used to. Oh yes, I'm really impressed by the service at Din Tai Fung's. They gave us another two xiao long baos just because two out of ten of the xiao long baos we ordered somehow 'burst' and the soup in it had leaked out. It was still edible and I thought there was no need for that but they insisted on making up for the burst ones. Not because we got two free xiao long baos, but that's what I call quality service. I saw the whole set of Doraemon comics in Popular. I've the urge to get it but I've to control myself and wait till exams are over. There's also the whole set of Harry Potter books I want to get. I want to read myself silly after the exams. Haha. But I don't wish to ask my Dad to get them for me. Okay, maybe I will, for the Harry Potter books since they are so expensive and it'll take me years to save up. Haha. Anyhow, I still need to save up to get the Doraemon comics because my savings are practically zero as I don't have the habit of putting aside some money everyday. Even if I do manage to save a miserable bit of money, I always spend it on something useless the next day. That's why I always find myself in a fix when I need more money than my usual allowance to get something. ******************* Stayed home in the day on Saturday. Watched TV and did A Math. Went to Parkway Parade in the evening. My Dad went there to get his N95 phone, his second phone this year. He kept saying that he needed a phone with the best camera in the market as it helps in his work. But I think its a total waste of money. How much difference can a 3 megapixels camera and a 5 megapixels one make? But since he got the N95, I tested it. Haha. I personally thought that only the 5 megapixels camera was good, whereas, the music speakers really pale in comparison with his previous N73 music edition. Then we headed to Swensen's for dinner. They had a new menu with loads of new dishes and of course, new ice-cream flavours! The new ice-cream flavours were must-haves so for desserts, I shared Topless 5 with my siblings even though I was supposed to refrain from eating ice-cream because I hadn't recovered from my cough yet. The new banana split flavour was splendid, it seems like the whole banana split boat was compressed into a scoop of ice-cream. Totally amazing. Reminds me of the bubble gum, which had the whole day's meals in it, invented by Mr Willy Wonka in Charlie & the Chocolate Factory. Haha. And miraculously, after eating the ice-cream, I've almost recovered from my cough today. Haha. ******************* I spent the whole of today's morning watching TV and then the early afternoon, practising A Math. In the late afternoon, went out with family to Leng Kee Rd's(Queenstown area) Volkswagen showroom to do car-viewing before heading to Purvis Street for Thai cuisine. While walking to the restaurant, we saw this I-don't-know-his-name HK celebrity. What I do know is that he acted in the 金枕头 show. My Dad said he was very famous in the 1980s & 1990s. He probably must had earned alot. But I must say he didn't put on any airs because my Dad said something in Cantonese to him, probably saying hello or something(I'm not sure since I'm a total idiot when it comes to Cantonese), he was really friendly and smiled and greeted back. Dinner was great. (And there was this cute and humorous waiter.) Haha. the restaurant had been renovated since our last visit there and it looks totally awesome & romantic(with loads of red furnishings) now. Alright, I have to go sleep now before my eyebags turns into grocery bags. Goodnight. ^^ Labels: Wonderful weekend

Went out with the girls(Andrea, Grace, Jollene, Mag, Shanmin, Tracy, Yingiet, Zhiying) yesterday. First we went to Ikea Tampines to get some many housewarming gifts for Tse See. We spent quite some time selecting the gifts and my runny nose felt like it was going to drop off anytime because the air conditioner seemed to be on full blast. Then we had to rush back to Tampines Mall for the 3.30pm Harry Potter & the Order of Phoenix movie. I think we looked really funny running across Ikea's carpark & lugging along with us all the gifts so that we could catch the shuttle bus in time. Harry Potter movie was okay. Some of the girls didn't think it was nice. For me, I personally neither thought it was good, nor bad. It was alright, except it could have been better. Many parts mentioned in the book were not shown in the movie, making the whole movie difficult to understand for viewers who didn't read the book. But I think that's totally understandable because it's not easy to compress a book with 800 over pages into a 2-hour movie. However, Katie Leung who acted as Cho Chang was a total disappointment. Before the movie, I was thinking, maybe she would look better onscreen than on the magazines' photos. But it didn't seem so after all. I wonder why she was chosen for the role. If they needed an Asian girl to play the role, well, I thought they could have just picked anyone on a street in Asia and she'll still be better-looking than Katie Leung. I like Luna Lovegood(acted by Evanna Lynch). Now I know what a sing-song voice sound like. I think she looks good with Harry Potter. Maybe she might end up with him. Haha. After the movie, we waited at the open plaza for Shanmin to meet us so that we could all surprise Yingiet with her belated birthday cake(chocolate banana flavour made by Grace & Shanmin) and gift. Happy belated 16th birthday, Yingiet! Then we headed to Tse See's house for her housewarming party. Had great fun over there. Ate, watched the comical HK drama on tv, sang birthday song for Yingiet & ate her cake(delicious), made Tse See open up our gifts & seeing her go 'wahhh!'. And I love her bedroom, it gives me the hotel feeling which I like very much. Thanks Tse See, for inviting us! We all really had alot of fun. I was so tired after being out & having fun for the whole day that I hit the sack soon after I showered upon reaching home. Labels: Splendid day spent with the girls

There was so much to do during the past week that there's no time for me to sit down in front of the computer & blog. Earlier this week, I was watching this short Jdrama (with 11 episodes only) called 14 Sai no Haha (translated to be 14 year-old mother). As the title suggests, it's about teenage pregnancy. The main (child) actress is unbelievable. She's only a 13-year-old acting as a 14-year-old girl. Yet, her acting's amazing. She's so cute, the only flaw she has is that she looked more like a 10-year-old than a 14-year-old. Okay, the story may seem really unrealistic because how could an underdeveloped(sorry, she really looked like she's 10) girl be pregnant? But a great film to encourage the practice of abstinence among teenagers, I guess. Geography test & Biology mock exam are over, and I can finally heave a sigh of relief. Didn't finish studying for biology because I was having a headache yesterday night and decided to study the rest of biology in school. Of course, I didn't get to finish studying, or should I say I didn't get to go on the second booklet of notes? Haha. Fortunately, not much from second booklet came out in the mock exam, except for plants. No doubt, I 'died' at all those questions about alleles in plants. Just came back from dinner at Peach Garden at Thomson Rd. A really funny thing happened, after billing, my dad went to the restroom. And he went to the Ladies instead of Gents. It wasn't intentional because he didn't see the signs on the doors. So there was this lady who knocked at the Ladies cubicle to ask if there's anyone in there, a male voice(my dad's) answered. Well, my dad actually thought the lady was the one in the wrong restroom instead, until he came out of the restroom and saw the sign on it. Haha. My mom saw him walk into the wrong restroom but it was too late. She came out to the entrance and told us. Had a great laugh over it. My dad was embarrassed and said it's his first time walking into the wrong restroom. Tomorrow's a day out with the girls, probably our last outing until O Levels are over. Alright, I shall have an early night(although it isn't very early now at 10.54pm). Goodnight. Labels: Busy like a bee

The past few days had been really hectic with homeworks, tests & remedials so I didn't really get to blog. We adopted a duck for the SCS Great Singapore Duck Race 2007 two days ago and named it Cotzay (pronounced at cotangent-zay, as in day). Why such a name? Go figure. Haha. Yesterday after school, went to East Point's Long John Silver with Tracy & Shanmin for lunch. We were starving before that because we studied for Elective Humanities Mock Exam during both the recesses. Lunch was great. Talking nonsense, laughing, making fun of one another. Then we walked around East Point to give time for our food to digest before heading home. Went back to school to help out with the DSA this morning. Okay, it was for the extra CIP points. Not that it still matters in my case because even if I get 5 CIP points, I still won't get an A2 for my CCA grade. But it was great seeing Coach and the juniors after so long. There were so many people who came for the trial that the table-tennis seemed much smaller than usual. Haha. I'm going down for a swim with my brother later. I haven't been swimming (or going to the gym) for ages. I weighed myself recently and found out that I've put on quite alot of weight. It's no wonder because I've been eating so much when there's no trainings for me to burn off the excess calories. And no, I can't gain any more kilos so, no matter how lazy I am, I must do some exercise and burn off all the fats. I've thought about it, I shall just exercise regularly from now till the end of O Levels and after that, I shall exercise intensively in preparation for prom and JC life. But whether I will actually follow my plan, is another thing. Alright, shall go swimming soon. Labels: Hectic days

I'm just done with studying for Biology test tomorrow. It wasn't easy memorising the whole chunk of info on pollination & fertilisation in flowers, but that's how Biology is. And to think I've only spent 1 hour on it because I'm too tired. I must be the slackiest & laziest biology student. I had planned to finish English situational writing in the evening but didn't have a chance to, because I went out to Tampines Mall for dinner with family. Then came home, watched TV for an hour. Then, helped my sister with her 公函 homework. I feel so achieved because I finally got to help her with her work(she mostly doesn't need my help as she is achieving more than I am in school or I've no idea to the answers of the math questions that she ask) & got to put everything Sunlaoshi taught for 公函 to application. THEN, I studied for Biology. So there goes my plan of doing my English homework. As usual. I was overcome with fatigue in school, again. The feeling just sucks. I willed myself not to fall asleep but end up sitting through those lessons without aquiring any new knowledge. My eyes were wide opened but my mind had fallen asleep. I think I've been very impatient these days. I give one-worded answers and go,"hanna, hanna" when someone ask me questions. I think it's due to the fatigue. Sorry to those I've done that to. Anyone knows any ways to stop the fatigue? Telling me to sleep early doesn't help because I don't sleep very late(definitely before 11pm). Alright, it's going to be 11pm soon so I'd better get to bed. Goodnight. Labels: Fatigue

Yesterday started off bad because right in the early morning, my mom was scolding me for my stupid idea(it wasn't totally mine because someone suggested it to me) of burning the pen ink tube(because there was no ink despite it being brand-new) the night before and the tube melted, splattering the ink over the kitchen table-top without my knowing. Apparently, some ink splattered on my big toe without my knowing too, and I went to bed just like that. So there's now a huge smudge of black ink on my clean bedsheets where my toes are supposed to be. But the rest of the day went pretty well, or should I say really great? There were 2 major things to be happy about but I'm not going to go into details. Haha. Oh, did I mentioned that we had students from UK over at our school for nearly a week for an exchange program? They seem really nice. During assembly on Wednesday, we had a praise & worship session and the pastor said something really wrong which goes something like,"Mother Theresa devoted her life into helping the needy. While Princess Diana messed up her own life". Worst of all, the UK students attended the praise & worship session together with all of us. Everyone sucked for breath when the words came out of his mouth. What would the UK students have thought? Someone they may have respected is being thought of messing up her own life by others? What I thought was that it wasn't fair of him to say such a thing. Princess Diana did many charity works too and used her influential status to positively assist in many campaigns. Well, I do hope the UK students will have fun in Singapore. It's rarely we have visitors coming from the other side of the globe. No idea why, but I've been really tired these days. It's now a challenge for me to last through the school hours. When school finally ends, I always feel so energy-drained that I don't feel like doing anything. Maybe it's because I haven't adjust to the long school hours which only ends at 3pm. Hope it's just a phase which I'm going to get out of soon, because this can't go on if I want to revise my work everyday after school and to do well for O Levels. I envy her because...나는 당신을 좋아한다. Yesterday afternoon, we went to have lunch at 333 coffeeshop at bedok. After which, we went to view Duchess Residence's showflat near Hwa Chong, Bukit Timah.
Then we went to Sentosa by car. My dad's currently working on a project in Sentosa Cove, he was telling us about the wonderfully-designed houses there. So, the first thing we did was to drive in to Sentosa Cove to see the new houses by the sea. I'm not sure whether we were supposed to be allowed in since it's a residential area but the security just let us in with nothing more than a glance. This shows that security there is loose. Haha. My dad was right about the houses, they were so pretty, both on the exterior & interior(no doubt the price tag that came with it too). Even the cars parked in them are pretty. All the Mercs, Porsches, BMWs, Bentleys. Most of the house even had a parking lot for a yacht behind?!?! This is crazy. Yes, I can imagine how people living there go to work. They cruise in their yachts to Clifford Pier(although it's already closed down & will be torn down to make way for IR) and then alight to go to work in the Shenton Way Business District.
After Sentosa Cove, we went to Palawan Beach for a stroll and went onto the bridge. Then, we went to another area which I'm not too sure what it's called but it's within the Imbiah Lookout boundary.
Sentosa Cove:
Palawan Beach:
Panorama view of Palawan Beach (taken from the 2 towers) Imbiah Lookout area:
We left Sentosa for Habourfront & Vivo City at around 7pm. We had Macs at Habourfront!!! Okay, perhaps you have no idea, eating Macs together with my family is even much more difficult than striking lottery because my dad will always start lecturing us about eating healthy, fats, cholesterol, trans-fat & insert-anything-that-causes-diseases-here whenever we talk about eating at Macs. So, I only get to eat at Macs when I'm out with my friends.
After dinner, we did a little shopping at Vivo. My brother got his Everlast canvas school shoes. I thought he should have gotten the leather one instead since it was nicer. But he said the black Everlast logo at the side would not be accepted at school. And oh, when we were in one of the shoes shops, he saw his Discipline Mistress in there and started hiding & running away from her. Lol. My dad was like,"Why must you run when you see your teacher? You should go up and say hello to her." Isn't running the first instinct when you spot your teacher? That's what we always do even at school.
I saw 阿Ben. And I stared(how rude of me but he stared back too. lol) at him without being conscious of it because I was thinking," Hey, this guy looks familiar. Now, where have I seen him before?" To sum it all up, Sentosa + Macs = I am happy! Labels: Family Day at Sentosa

First of all, I'm a Kpop fan, especially of 2PM, MBLAQ, 2NE1 and FT Island. Actually, I like Kpop, Korean entertainment, Korean dramas, Korean language, Korean culture, Korean food, basically anything Korean. So I guess you can call me a fan of Korea.
Second, eating is one of my favourite pastimes. I think my size says it all. =P I'm not picky about food but there's only one thing that I don't like eating, that is, sweet potato.
Third, I love sports. Been playing table tennis for about 6 years now, and floorball, 2 years. But I would have to say that I like floorball more. I don't know, but putting the ball into the goal, making an accurate pass, chasing after the ball, even sweating like a pig, gives me the sense of satisfaction that nothing else can.
Fourth, I can't live without the Internet. You can take away my phone, TV, mp3, bed, but please don't take away my Internet because...I just can't live without the internet.
Lastly, if there's anything I dislike, it would have to be making decisions. Where to go, what to eat, what to do next, which is nicer/better...I just don't like deciding. I always leave it to others because honestly, it doesn't matter where we're going, what we're eating or what we're doing to do. What matters most is the company and whether we're having a great time together.
