Duathlon Challenge 2008
Saturday, March 29, 2008 10:45 PM
I shall summarise my week since I hardly have time to blog during weekdays and I think this had been and will continue to be the case every week.

First of all, I want to thank CG 18/08 for the birthday song. Even though it was embarrassing, but I really appreciated the thought. ^^

This whole week had been really hectic for me, I'm not saying other weeks weren't, but for the first time, I really understood what 'Too many things, too little time' meant. I had to divide my time between trainings, competition, tutorials, GP reviews, and worst of all, the killer PI! Yes, I know I probably won't refer to it as a killer soon when more components of PW begins. There were quite a few days when I reached home at 9.30pm, have dinner(I think at such time, it's more appropriately known as supper), shower and then finally start on my work at 10.30pm, only get to go to bed at 1 or 2 in the morning and then wake up 3 and a half hours or 4 hours, at most, later to get ready for school. Then the whole routine repeats itself. No doubt, I felt like dozing off sometimes during lectures(especially during boring ones!), but I tried my best not to. Keyword: tried. But apparently not having much success.

Competition on last Wednesday. Jitters! But everyone played great! Though I think I played exceptionally oooglily(uglily). The way I play has always been ugly, but it was exceptionally ugly on that day. Lol.Wasn't quite satisfied with myself. Girls, TJC vs. SRJC, 5-0. Boys, TJC vs. IJC, 4-1. Girls will be up against SAJC on Monday. Double jitters!

By the way, CG 18/08 came in 1st for English Fair Exhibition and won ourselves $100 worth of Ben & Jerry's! That's about a scoop of ice cream for everyone! Going for ice-cream as a class, I like the idea of that! I wasn't present for contact time on Wednesday and when Wenhui told me the next day, I was like 'WHAT!?!' Haha, we weren't expecting to win anything after seeing other CGs' exhibitions because some of them were really good. How the hell did we manage to win, I have no idea.

Duathlon today was a great experience. My first time trying out for endurance sports. The 1st leg of the run was the worst. It was hell tiring. I don't know why. I wasn't even halfway through the route and my legs were already hurting like crazy. Too little warmups, probably. And I came in second-last for the 1st leg, but I think I should be considered last because the last girl was feeling unwell during the race, and she kinda dropped out of the race, and then join back in again. So technically, I was last. Lol. But we didn't come in last at the end! All thanks to Angelina! So, she was the second-last to leave the bikers' holding area because I was the second-last to finsh the 1st leg. I don't know how she did it, but she was one of the firsts to complete her 15km of biking. She must have biked damn fast la! And she claimed that she wasn't cycling very fast. And, she didn't look like she had perspired a drop when she came back, really. Conclusion: She has the speed + stamina. The 2nd leg of the run was quite alright, except that the sun had gone quite high up in the sky. I was cursing it everytime I ran out of the shade and into the sunlight. Lol. I think we got 20th or 21st position. And the goodie bags were fabulous! We got quite alot of things, Puma caps and best of all, the Duathlon Challenge 2008 tee which says 'DUATHLETE' in big bold letters on the front and depending on whether you were a runner or biker, it says 'runner' or 'biker' on the right sleeve. I love the tee alot! I feel so accomplished today! At least, I know I'm capable of 6km which I never thought was possible in the past. But 2.4km mock test next week is another thing. Haha. Anyway, I'll definitely join Duathlon next year if there's one.

A funny quote from Ms Thangam while on the topic of feasibility during PW: That would raise a BIG question mark in my small head.

Love her lessons, nobody ever falls asleep during her lessons.

And usually, the words 'enjoy' and 'lectures' don't come together. But they did, for the first time, during the PW lecture given by Miss Ying last Wednesday. She was damn hilarious. She had loads of wacky ideas, like shoes can be used for aromatherapy!?! Lol.

I shall end this entry with part of the lyrics of a song I heard but don't know the title.

Life's a roller-coaster, so just ride it.

Seventeen, here I am!
Sunday, March 23, 2008 5:14 PM
Woohoo! I'm finally Seventeen!

Thanks, Tracy, Zhiying, Shanmin, Yingiet, Andrea, Kristy, Mian Mian, Alicia, Guorong, Junrong, Yingen, Valerie, Tan Xiao, Wenqi, Magdalene, Amos, Safi, Tabitha, Sock Ling, Jack and Jasmine for the birthday wishes! And also thanks to the girls for the pleasant surprise and the wonderful outing on Friday! ^^

***
So here's what happened on Friday. Zhiying told me that she was coming over to my house first before we go meet the rest of the girls at Tanah Merah. Okay, nobody told me where we would be meeting but smart-ass me assumed(Tracy says I should stop assuming things. That's making an Ass out of U and Me. Haha.) we would be meeting at Tanah Merah since that has been our meeting point for ages. So back to it, initially after Zhiying told me she was coming over, I was kinda like, 'Question mark?' Because, to come to Changi from Tanah Merah(she lives there) and then go back to Tanah Merah, that's not very convenient, is it? But she said she didn't want to be home alone, so I just shrugged it off.

So anyway, I was still in the showers when my Mum was shouting from outside that my friend is at the door. Embarrassing, to have your Mum shouting for you like that, in front of your friend. I quickly rushed out of the bathroom and brought Zhiying to my room while I tried to tie my hair in my room's bathroom. Then Zhiying told me she was going out of my room to make a phone call. And out of nowhere, the girls appeared with a birthday cake! So they were outside all along! Boy, was I pleasantly surprised!

We ate the cake and took loads of silly photos. Will upload them when I get them. Then we went Marina. Had a late lunch at Cavana and kept fooling around with Zhiying's camera's color function. The photos turned out really hilarious! We were laughing so much that I think we looked like a bunch of escapees from the asylum. After lunch, we went to watch this fashion showcase that was going on. I think the female models are really hot! And their legs are like 'oh my gosh', *starts to hyperventilate*. Really, girls would die to have legs like that.

We then went around Marina. Tracy kept pestering me to go Women's Secret to try on something for her to see. See la, who's the one with the word '好色' on her forehead? Haha. And we kept pestering her to go up onto the runway of the fashion show and strut her stuffs. Tell you what, Tracy, we should have a 1-to-1 deal in future. You strut down the runway and I'll go into Women's Secret to try on something. Hahaha.

Anyway, Puma has this really nice green bag and white-based shoes with green designs! Never mind, that's not really important right now, the stick is more important. Haha.

After some of the girls left, Shanmin, Kristy and I went to Azabu Sabo for Japanese desserts. Hokkaido hotballs. I know the name does sound alittle funny, but it's really delicious. We talked for super long too. ^^

Hweeli gave me a Tortie handphone holder to add to my Tortie Family collection! Thanks, love it!

Thanks Kristy! It's really cute! ^^

Thanks, girls for everything! You guys are really the best friends a girl can have! ^^

Alright, I have to go do my tutorials now. I could have completed them yesterday, but...haha, there's always a but. I was supposed to draw out the different combinations of chromosomes at the end of Meiosis yesterday, but before I knew it, I was slashing away cute little Garlies and Rabbithorns in the virtual world. Lol. Brother's fault. Kept pestering me to join. Haha. I think Bloody Ice's background music is super nice! They have really good music coordinators. I think I'm going to train there forever, just to listen to the music. Haha.

Let's just hope that I won't switch from Chemistry to Cabal later.

Tiring school day
Thursday, March 20, 2008 10:56 PM
School was tiring today despite it ending early at 12.30pm. And we had to wait all the way till 5pm for the Econs makeup lecture! Went for lunch at the opposite with Xinyi, Yujing, Wenhui & Huiting. Then it was back at school to do the English Fair exhibition board. There was little left for us to do since we completed most of it the other day. I sort of 'saved' the board from going into the bin with my artistic sense. I splattered red paint on it to make it look better. Haha. What kind of artistic sense is that?

I was so tired that after we were done with the exhibition thingy, I slept at the table while others around me were mugging. I felt so guilty(I always do when I'm with them), but sleep soon overtook me. Sleeping is shiok! But not for my poor right arm. Lol. After waking up, did the long overdued chemistry holiday assignment. Haha. And I spent 2 hours doing like, 5 MCQ questions? How productive.

Econs lecture was boring. Can you imagine having your butt stuck to the seat and listening monotony for 1 hour 30 minutes? And because of the lecture, I had to be 30 minutes late for training.

***
Econs tutorial today was kind of embarrassing. The teacher called on me to draw a demand curve. And I was so confident that I would get it right, so I went up to the board and drew, literally, a curve downward-sloping from left to right. When I turned to return to my seat, I saw Tsze Deng gesturing frantically. I thought he was having some kind of stroke or seizure or something. Lol. I'm being so mean when he was so nice as to point out my mistake. But, seriously, I had no idea what the hell he was doing then.

And the teacher was like, "I have been an Econs teacher for many years, and this is the first time I've seen it. Although it's called a curve, it should be linear." Darn, why is it called a curve when it's actually a straight line? Conclusion: Economists can't differentiate between a curve and a line. And it also meant that all that Econs lectures and tutorials I had attended for the past 3 months have gone to waste because I can't even draw correctly a simple demand curve.

***
Continued on Friday, 21/03/08:

Sister went for tution, Brother went for church. Me? Slept in till 11am. Piggy.

Going out with the girls later. I can't wait! Haven't seen some of them for ages! Especially Miss Choo Babi(Yingiet)!!! And of course, Tracy, Zhiying, Kristy, Shanmin, Hweeli, Andrea!

Alright, I better go shower now because Zhiying is coming over to my house soon. Bye!

I will survive
Wednesday, March 19, 2008 7:37 PM
Floorball training has just ended. And you must be wondering why I can reach home that fast and turn on the computer to blog. Yes, I'm Superwoman and I flew home. Right. Nah, training for girls today was cancelled. We were supposed to go Macpherson to watch a floorball match right after school ended at 3.20pm, but the match was brought forward, and we didn't go after all because it would have ended by the time we reach there. So I came home, showered and slept. Lol. I was really tired because I've been going to bed at 12midnight and waking up at 5.30am every day for the past few days.

The SC Nominees' Introductory Speeches was quite good and hilarious too. Especially the Wei Liang guy. Haha. But I think he's not bad. At least he was eager to answer the questions. Goes to show that he knows very well what he is doing and has everything all planned out of what he is going to do for the College if he is elected as an SC.

Thanks TJC Table Tennis for the cake yesterday! Was really surprised because as a Year 1, you are someone new in the team and you don't expect anything. But I was wrong. I'm so glad that I'm in TJC Table Tennis! ^^

Oh yes, we got one of our jerseys a few days ago. It is really nice and the material is good! There's even our names on one of the sleeves!

***
I need to go finish up my tutorials now and study for tmr's Econs quiz. Whatever time I have now, even if it is just a minute, is very precious to me. Because I hardly have time to do my tutorials. I'm beginning to feel the stress. Especially now that PW tasks is out already. ㅠㅠ But I'll survived. ;D

Rarhh, English Fair portfolio
Saturday, March 15, 2008 9:36 PM
75 words

I'm supposed to be doing my English Fair portfolio, but look at what I'm doing now, testing out how fast my fingers can move on the keyboard. XP

I'm bored out by the portfolio. Been stuck at it since 3 in the afternoon because I have no idea how to write it. I decided to write in an essay format. Ms Thangam is going to be blinded by the amount of words once she sees mine. Muahaha. And then, she's going to throw the portfolio back at me and wished that she had never ask us to do the portfolio!

Violence in schools and impact on society. Aiyo, what's there for me to write? Everything is so cliche. Ms Thangam would probably have read a hundred similar essays before she finally came to mine.

I feel like clicking on the red cross on the top right-hand corner of my Microsoft Word document now and go watch some Korean dramas.

Training Day
Friday, March 14, 2008 11:29 PM
Floorball training @ Valhall at 10am this morning. Thought I would be late because I only left house at 9am. Slowpoke. -.- Fortunately, the buses and train came on time, so I was punctual! Haha.

We trained left-hand hitting for about 15 minutes today. You must be thinking, 'Aiyah, 15 minutes only, easy lah'. That was what I initially thought too. Nooo, I was so wrong. My left-hand was sore like shit after that 15 minutes. Wanted to neaten my hair, but when I tried to touch my hair with my left hand, I was so horrified because I couldn't feel my hair! Haha. It did get alittle better afterwards but I still couldn't hold up my water bottle with my left hand and drink from it without trembling and spilling some water on my shirt. I'm pretty sure I'm going to lose the use of my left hand tomorrow.

We had matches just before training ended. The 'finals'(there were only 3 teams, so we just had to eliminate one team to play finals, lol) : Team Sexy vs. Team Dirty. Don't ask me how we got those names. I have no idea. Haha. It was super funny to see everyone on court screaming like mad whenever the ball went near the goalposts. It was a wonder we still had the strength to scream while running. Team Dirty won in the end because it was initially a draw and we went on to the penalties. And unfortunately for Team Sexy (or fortunately for Team Dirty), I was up for the deciding penalty and my shooting wasn't accurate. Felt kinda bad for making my team lose after they played so hard on court.

After training was lunch at KFC with the floorball girls. Weiling blurted out something funny while we were all walking across the tall grasses. 'Eh, how come they never shave the grass?' I was reminded of armpit hairs. LOL.

Then I went back to AHS for table tennis training. Nah, training was just an excuse, seeing the girls was my motive. XP Played some matches with the juniors and I have to say that I'm quite disappointed with how I played. I really have alot to improve on.

After training was 'Bubble-tea and Cup Noodles Time' at 85 with the girls!!! Haven't catch up with the girls for quite some time now and so I was happy to be back at the bubble-tea shop with them. Talked like how we used to talk. Felt like we were back in old times. I didn't feel like leaving at all. But all good things have to come to an end.

Went to Plaza Singapura in the evening to watch Horton with family. I don't think it's nice, good for kids maybe, but too childish for teenagers or adults.. I think it's kind of random and there's not really a plot. Yes, I'm pretty critical when it comes to this. I think a plot is a must for any kind of movie, drama serial or book. But since my sister and brother like the movie alot, then I'm quite alright with it. And sometimes, I find myself thinking the same way Horton does, like wondering if there's any super tiny creatures living in other things such as cloths. Okay, I'm stupid. I wanna watch Step Up 2 since everyone says it's so nice!

Alright, I'm very tired. Goodnight!

Table Tennis Camp 2008
Thursday, March 13, 2008 12:31 PM
Table Tennis Camp was a blast! No doubt, I really enjoyed the camp alot, every second of it! Had loads of fun and really got to know everyone in the team. The seniors did everything they could to make sure that everything went well. And from the Night Games alone, anyone can see that they really put in alot of effort into planning the camp. Photoshopping photos for the clues, the super long letter that Magdalene read out and all the things they had to do to set the stations up which include staining of Mag's white skirt with ketchup and hanging of Yingen's AHS uniform on the bush.

Had free time on the first night. Hweeli and I spent it watching the guys seniors stick the new rubbers onto their bats. Most of the girls seniors were in the next room mugging for the tests that's going to be held some time this week I think. It's scary to see them mug so hard. I feel so lazy as compared to them. Anyway, seniors who are having tests, JIAYOU!

Then at around midnight, we went back to the table tennis room. For what? You might think we're super hardworking to train even at midnight. No, we were there to test out our new rubbers. Hahaha.

Talk on the phone until 3am. It felt good because I finally got to crap around after so long. Also poured out some of the very few unhappiness I have, about how I feel so uh, restricted in my class. It doesn't help if you have someone who's always getting on your nerves every single lesson of the day. Grr. I miss 4F'07 so much. But no one can keep living in the past, so that's why I'm always telling myself to move on, only to find myself back on the same spot again.

Friendlies on the 2nd day of camp was alright, even though I made quite alot of mistakes. But at least there was experience gained. That's why I say, even though you may have lost a match, but in fact, you have won alot of experience. Nobody actually loses in a competition.

Even though the ECP trip was cancelled at the very last minute due to the rain, we still had fun playing Captain's Ball at the basketball court. The drizzle, and the wet and slippery ground adds more fun to it. Now, that's what I call Captain's Ball. Not some $%*#@ game(no, I don't even call that a game, there's no cooperation at all, that's just plain showing-off) I played with a particular group of people a week ago and someone just kept slamming the ball out regardless of whether he could get the ball and we spent like half of the game trying to pick up the ball. I was really pissed off then, and left the game halfway. Really, if you have no intention or ability to get the ball after you hit it away from others, then don't do it in the first place because you're just wasting everyone's time and your own energy. Grr.

Oh sorry, digressed. Oh yes, before we played Captain's Ball, Zhihao kicked the volleyball up onto the sports complex's roof, then climbed up the ladder on the third floor of it and he couldn't get down. I found it really amusing. Picture a whining tall guy. Totally classic. Haha.

The so-called 'romance' movie was alright. More of a thriller. Nothing too horrifying. Lol. But it did kinda set the atmosphere for the Night Games. Ah, Night Games, got to be one of the highlights of the camp! Haha. My partner was Jaren, which was a huge relief because I think he's brave, either that or, he succeeded in not showing his fear even though he might have been scared out of his wits. Haha. Okay la, I think it's more of the former. Anyway, it does help alot if your partner is or somehow looks brave, especially if both of you are trying to navigate your way in the dark with a torch(that threatened to go out anytime) to The Scope girls' toilet. I've heard some stories about it, but I don't know why, my mind chose to not to remember them during Night Games. Selective memory. Haha.

Yeah, I think the walk to The Scope girls' toilet was the scariest, maybe because it was the first station. The stations that followed after were quite alright. After we were done with the 4th station and trying to locate where's the 5th and last one, we saw Zhihao running around in the dark alone. Whatever the hell was he doing, you ask? Trying to find other pairs to scare. Jaren, Desmond and I joined in. Actually, when 3 of us joined in, that only left us with 1 pair to scare --- Jiahao-Hweeli's pair. Muahahah. I think we waited for them at the banner-painting area for close to 15 minutes. At first, I was squatting under the staircase, then I gave up after a few minutes because it was so hot and stuffy in there, and I reckoned my legs would cramp any time soon. The guys occasionally ran out closer to the TA block to check if they were coming. Then we hid behind the building, I started laughing(at the thought of them getting scared by us and the looks that will be on their faces) when Jiahao and Hweeli were approaching the banner-painting area. I had to try to stifle my laughters. It was hell, I tell you. I choked on my own saliva and had to stop myself from coughing. Haha.

We were expecting them to go to the C.Lit block(which was the place the clue led to) from the backyard, so we could scare them from the back of the building. But they went out of the banner-painting area from the front. Apparently, they didn't know the answer to the clue was the C.Lit block. That was later confirmed when we waited at the C.Lit block for another 15 minutes or so and then decided to give up scaring them and go back, and we saw them at the fountain in front of GO. Hahaha. They thought the Chinese characters on the clue had something to do with Chinese board or something. Lol. Okay, I should stop laughing at them because I was worse, didn't even know that there was such a place called C.Lit block in the school until Jaren told me.

Anyway, we met Jiahao and Hweeli in front of GO and we 'kindly' directed them to the C.Lit block. Haha, actually we were comtemplating whether to run the long way and try to reach the C.Lit block earlier than them to scare them. In the end, we did run to the C.Lit block and managed to scare the shit out of them. Satisfying. Haha. We waited so long and ran around the school for I-don't-know-how-many rounds just for that. And boy, Night Games was an extended PE, really, and it was tiring to sprint while trying not to make any noise. My slippers weren't helping at all, so I took them off and ran bare-footed. But the guys can really run without making a single sound. Silent runners.

Funny how I was feeling kinda scared before Night Games started and soon, I was running around in the dark, looking for victims to scare. After Night Games, was jokes, games and Truth or Dare. The jokes were all aimed at Jiahao. Lol. The Um-chi-chi game taught by Zhihao was fun. Even though that was one of the icebreakers we played during O2 with the OGMs, I never got around mastering it because it was so confusing! But I finally got the hang of it after playing it with the team!

And oh, the forfeits Qi Te had to do. He had 2 forfeits. First one was pole-dancing. It was super funny!!! And Jaren did a really good demonstration of pole-dancing! The second forfeit was together with Mia, stare into each other's eyes. Haha. I think the second forfeit was much easier than the first.

Then it was Truth or Dare. I think practically everyone chose Truth. Because the Dares were only for the daring. Like, if you don't mind shouting into the Bowlers' rooms and waking them up, and risk being rained on by bowling balls or doing another bout of pole-dancing in front of everyone, then you can choose Dare. I found the Truth questions interesting because all the Truth or Dare games I've played in the past are just like 'Who do you like?' and then if the person refused to say anything or replies 'Nobody.' (even though we all know it's definitely a lie), that pretty much ends the game. So yeah, questions like 'shoot, shack, marry', 'most attractive guy/girl in the room' , 'maid, husband, son and extramarital affair(!)' are rather new to me. Haha. But Mag, what kind of a question/speculation is that!?!? Awkward, awkward. Ah, never mind, the Queen of Awkwardness survived the game. Haha.

The games went on till 4am. At first, I decided not to sleep since there's only 2 more hours till daybreak. But then cannot tahan already, so went to sleep. 2 hours also shuang. Woke up at 6.15am, and got ready.

Time really flies when you're having fun. Soon it was time to leave camp. I felt sorry for leaving camp early. I wished I could stay till they officially break camp and run Lucky Heights together as a team. If we are ever going to run Lucky Heights again for PT at trainings, I'll be the first one to join in. Now you must be thinking, 'This girl, siao ah? So enthu about running Lucky Heights'. Yeah, at the beginning of camp, when I heard we will be running Lucky Heights on 3rd day morning, I was like 'Huh...Lucky Heights. Tiring.' But on 3rd day morning, I really wished I could have stayed to run.

The camp really did alot to me. Call me crazy, but I actually hoped that the camp lasted longer than just 3 days 2 nights. A really big Thank You to all the seniors, Miss Ng, the J1s and basically everyone who, in one way or another, made this camp one of the best I ever had! I know I've been repeating this for quite a number of times now, but I really had the time of my life and really enjoyed myself alot!

Can we have another camp like this during the June holidays? Okay, I'm asking the impossible. Lol.

Floorball friendlies! We won! We, as in Girls, Junior boys and Senior boys. Woohoo! It was the first time playing on a full-sized court for many of us girls. For the first time in my life, I finally realised the importance of having a good stamina. Even though our line-changes were considered quite frequent, it was really tiring running up and down the full-sized court. Naturally, for someone like me who can't even run 100m without panting for breath, I was already breathless and sweating like some dog before half of the time on court has gone by. And one line on court will only last for an average of 5 minutes?!?! Goes to show how much I have to improve on my stamina.

The junior boys played handicapped without a goalie because they were against girls. The senior boys were against coaches, teachers and some ex-national players I heard. The senior boys are super pro la! Their passings are really 神. And their match is like 'Whoaaa'! Very interesting match, really. Too bad we couldn't watch the whole of the match because we were running late for training. And did I say Shengxian's language was really hilarious? What 'heng kah lao sai' and stuffs... Luowei and I were laughing like idiots.

Floorball training was at Valhall which is just beside Sunsports. Training was alright, nothing too vigorous. Or so, I thought, until we came to the matches which were killers on my energy level. Draining all my energy like nothing.

Kept dozing off during training. See la, gei kiang, sleep for 2 hours only.

Was supposed to meet someone at Kallang after training. But got pangseh-ed. Rain and medical checkup as reasons. Haha. Never mind la, I was too tired to walk to KFC in the rain anyway.

Supposed to go back to school at 10am for GP movie today. Decided to give it a miss because I wanted to do my homework. Yeah right, I woke up at 11.45am. And look at what I'm doing now, blogging. Haha. Skipped the CG outing too. There's pretty much nothing in it for me to look forward to anyway.

Bye, people! I should go get started on my Biology essay questions even though I'm having camp withdrawal symptoms. After seeing how the seniors mass-mugged, I'm starting to get worried with my slack attitude. Haha.

This has gotta be my longest entry ever.

Korean food!
Saturday, March 08, 2008 11:26 PM
I had Korean food for dinner today at Novena Sq! Yay, I'm a happy girl! Pardon me, but I have a thing for anything that is Korean. Korea, Korean language, Korean culture, Korean food, Korean entertainment circle...you name it, I love it! Anyway, the food was really nice. No, I'm not being biased here but it was really great. Even my Dad who dislikes Korean food had to agree with my Mum and I.

Then there was this dance show at the plaza of Novena Sq. They were showcasing Breakdance. Those breakdancers look so cool la! Makes me wanna learn breakdancing. But it'll probably be break-limbs-dancing for me. Haha.

Then it was grocery shopping at NTUC, well, that's for my Mum. For me, it's junk-food shopping. 2 tubs of ice-cream to go with my chocolate syrup at home, 4 bars of Hershey cookies 'n' cream chocolate and a bag of nachos. I better hope I don't stuff myself silly this coming holidays.

***
Just received an email saying that my application for Sportsxcel was rejected. But I'm not feeling anything. Weird. Maybe because I kind of saw it coming because I didn't do well at all for the interview. But I guess it's okay, after all, Sportsxcel is not the only programme in TJ for self-improvement. There's still House Committee! Never mind the fact that I don't even know if I'm eligible for it. Haha.
***
Alright, I think I better turn in early because my family is going to wake up at 6am tomorrow to go hiking up to MacRitchie Reservoir's Treetop Walk. 10km, it will be a good way to train. But if Mas Selamat is hiding in the midst of the trees and bushes...hahaha.

Goodnight, guys!

Phew, It's the last day of the school term
Friday, March 07, 2008 9:54 PM
Ah, finally an entry after nearly a week.

This week was really packed with tests, trainings, interview, GP article review and English Fair exhibition research. I'm glad I survived through the week. 2 tests in the last week of the school term is just crazy. And all my studyings were crammed in just before trainings start. And I guess that will also be the case for the rest of the tests in future. No, I'm not going to complain or anything, it was a decision I made on my own, so I shall be responsible for it.

Sportsxcel interview was 'arghhh'. *Pull hair and smack myself* Another interview screwed up, so what's new?

***
Floorball is da bomb! Had so much fun even though I'm still a noob at it (but I'm trying my best to improve). Haha. Today's induction and team dinner was great! Sheng Xian, Luo Wei and Naomi made the dinner even better.

Seriously, I'm having so much fun in it. If Mr Sim forgets to key in my name for Floorball, I'm so going to kill myself by banging my head against the wall. Haha.

There's Floorball BBQ next monday, but unfortunately, it clashes with Table Tennis Training Camp, so I guess I'll have to give it a miss. If only I can split myself into two and be at two different places at the same time. Haha. Don't be mistaken, I look forward to training camp too. But that's how life is, you can't have the best of everything. So in a way, life is like Economics. Choice: Go for training camp. Opportunity cost: Forgo Floorball BBQ.

Mass PE today was alright. Ran to the bottom of Lucky Heights and back. But the only thing was that, I forgot to go to the toilet before PE, so I was trying to hold my pee in during the whole run. Hahaha. I felt a doubled sense of achievement after the run ended. Try running 1.4km with a bladder that feels like it's going explode any time and you'll get what I meant. Haha. XP

And, because of Mass PE, I had to change 3 sets of clothes today. Went to school in Mass PE tee. Changed into PDP tee after PE. Changed back into stinky Mass PE tee before Floorball training. And then changed into Sportsclass tee for the Induction. Mum complains that my laundry overloads the washing machine. Haha.

Lessons this week were quite interesting.

During GP lesson last Tuesday, Ms Thangam was discussing Singlish. And she said something really funny.

Angmoh (confused with how Singlish works) : 'Meh', is it a prefix or a suffix?

And during Economics tutorial,
Mrs Beetsma: Connie, why is housing a geographically-limited market?
Me: Umm, because HDB flats are only found in Singapore?
Mrs Beetsma: What!?! Terrible, terrible...

Okay, I'm tired already. Finally, a day which I can sleep for at least 8 hours! Haha. Goodnight! ^^

Dodgeball, anyone?

Just got back from dinner at Prima Tower's revolving restaurant. At the start of dinner, we were facing the expressway and halfway through dinner, we were facing Sentosa, then at the end of dinner, we were back to facing the expressway. Dinner was alright I guess, except for the gastric pains due to hunger.

Was slacking the whole day. Didn't manage to do anything productive except to play the piano and read newspapers. Yes, all the articles. Took me like 2 whole hours! I've learnt my lesson after the Pre-U Seminar interview. Hahaha.

And any girl from Beta House or Alpha House keen on substituting for Shanmin(because her lessons will end late and she can't make it in time) for the Dodgeball Competition at around 3-5pm on Monday? Anyone who's interested, please leave a tag or IM me or sms me if you have my handphone number. I'm resorting to calling out on my blog because this is rather urgent, and I'm having difficulty finding a girl who's from either Beta or Alpha and who's willing to play dodgeball. I've already asked most of the Beta girls I know, but they either already have a team to play for or they can't make it on Monday. It doesn't matter if you don't know how to play, because look at me, I've never played dodgeball in all my life, neither do I know the rules of the game. I'll just go there on Monday and have fun (if having fun means getting whacked by balls). Haha.

Seriously, Shanmin, how can you do this to your poor friend, which is me? ㅠㅠ Haha. Quickly finish your classes and rush to the hall to save me, okay?

Rawr. I feel like strangling the shit out of DHS now. This is just so unfair! AHS won them fair and square, but it's them who's going home with the trophy. Never mind C Girls, we'll show them who's the true winner in Nationals!
