So I went for both days of CAN Marathon even though I didn't sign up for it at all. I didn't stayover though, left around 11.45pm yesterday, just in time to catch the last bus home. The marathon was pretty fun, night games were great, playing volleyball with the floorball girls near midnight is not something which you do everyday. And there's a very obvious reason why we are all not in the volleyball team. LOL.
Floorball guys signed up for the competitive marathon, and they completed 52 rounds in one hour! Just one round short of the track team's 53. The guys never fail to do TJFB proud. =D
Went back again this morning for the carnival. It was okay, just not as crowded as I thought it would be. The J1 floorballers were selling chocolate fondue, cup corn, henna and body art. Hanged around, and started practising airhooking. Total fail! Can't even manage to do one vertical airhook (which was supposed to be easier than the horizontal one).
TJFB! <3
(Koped the henna from the J1 floorballers & Teresa helped me draw on my hand =P)
The Pact

***
Was pretty tired in school today, considering I only slept at 2am yesterday because I reached home from tuition at 12 midnight, was using the com and reading The Pact by Jodi Picoult at the same time. I'm not yet done with it, but thumbs-up for the book, and the author. At first I was skeptical about how the story would go because the first chapter pretty much seemed like a last chapter to me, there was no way anyone can expand the story for another 494 pages. It turned out I was so wrong, I'm pretty amazed at how the author can toggle between flashbacks and present so often and yet the story is still a one whole flowing piece. Excellent author indeed!
My thighs were killing me today. I couldn't walk up from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor to get to my classroom without grumbling and complaining. I take so long to even sit on the toilet bowl? Blame it on the squats at training yesterday. Today was much better, yesterday my legs literally felt like jellies.
There's Bio test tomorrow, but I only finished studying like 10%? I'm too tired to study for it now, shall see how much I can chiong in school tomorrow. It's the last day of the school term, but there's a test, how great. CAN marathon tomorrow, don't know if I should go and have fun at the carnival and stuffs or just stay at home and sit my butt infront of the computer.
Shall go back to reading The Pact! Bye~
Team Dinner at Suntec Swensen's
Monday, May 25, 2009 10:09 PM
Below is a pic of the handmade present I made for Ah Cat the other day! I gave it to her in the morning, then I went off for a lesson. When I came back, I asked her, 'Do you like your present?' and she said 'I ate it already.' -.- LOL!
***
Team dinner at Suntec Swensen's yesterday night! It was fun, with Michelle(Aw) telling Coach ghost stories the whole night and warning him to be careful of pontianak. Lol, she was telling him that if he sees a very beautiful girl at night, he should run, because it's a pontianak in disguise. And Coach kept saying how it doesn't make sense. He was like "So, if a very pretty girl approach me and my friends, then I'll have to tell my friends 'RUN!!!! BECAUSE SHE'S A PONTIANAK!!!' " Hahaha, the thought of that is totally hilarious. Imagine you're clubbing, then this pretty girl approach you, then you run out of the club screaming that there's a pontianak. LOL!
Anyway, after dinner, we headed up to the fountains, camwhored like crazy. And people, please don't kill me for putting the photos in collages because it'll take me too long to upload one by one, I'll upload them to Facebook soon or get them from me over MSN.

NAPHA 5 items
Saturday, May 23, 2009 7:05 PM
NAPHA 5 items this morning. All As except for Standing Broad Jump. Lol. Got a D for that, so there goes my Gold. =( Wanted to crash training after NAPHA, but NAPHA took too long. By the time we were done, the J1s were starting to keep the boards. Then, sat in the canteen with Teresa, Ben Tan, Junyang and Wen Ge, talking and making fun of Wen Ge. =P Then the boys went for lunch opposite and ate for so long! And Ben still can rub his tummy to show how full he was. Lol.
Damn, I'm addicted to Restaurant City now. Teresa and Junyang shouldn't have talked about it just now!
Ate only a Granny's Pancake for lunch, super hungry now. Waiting for my parents to buy food home...seeing the menu in Restaurant City only make my stomach growl even more. =X
Funny video
Friday, May 22, 2009 9:48 PM
A pretty cool and funny video. Ah Cat recommended it to me. Some AHS people might recognise the Weisheng guy.
Puri Lite App
8:17 PM
2.4km run yesterday was alright, except that I forgot to go toilet before the run. And at my third round, I badly wanted to go pee that I was comtemplating whether to run off to the toilet or hold it in and continue with the run. I decided to continue with the run. After it ended, I ran straight to the toilet without even handing in my position card. LOL. Teaches me to remember to go toilet before running in future.
School today was okay, except that I slept alot. Was at the Marquee after school with Ah Cat and Jolin. Took photos with this Puri Lite application in my Iphone which allows us to decorate our photos like neoprints(of course, it's not as good as neoprints). I was never good at using this application to decorate because mine always turn out looking like shit. But Jolin's good at this. The 2nd and 3rd photos are decorated by her. Pardon the poor quality because the photos are taken using Iphone, 2 megapixels only. 4th picture onwards are taken with my camera, so quality's better.
The bottom-left photo's a super funny candid! Haha, I told her I'm going to upload it to Facebook and tag her in it.
Selcas while waiting for the photos to be uploaded
Sigh, there's NAPHA 5 items tomorrow. PE department sucks. Who ever heard of NAPHA on a Saturday?!?!
Watch me fail my Standing Broad Jump. Passing is like 160+cm?!?! Great, I can barely jump a 140. And my muscles are still aching from yesterday 2.4km because I forgot to cool down, serve me right for going toilet instead cooling down. Hope aching will recover by tomorrow, or else there's no way I can do situps and inclined pull-ups properly.
Anyone going to crash training tomorrow after NAPHA?
Floorball finals
Thursday, May 21, 2009 12:47 AM
Went to watch bball semis and floorball finals today. Floorball finals was really exciting, glad that I went. After the finals and prize presentation(anyway, photos another day too!), took a LONG train ride back to Bedok with the guys and Small Michelle. As usual, Michelle was playing spot-the-difference, and trying to beat the high score. Highest is still 67 out of 73 levels, by Big Michelle, Small Michelle, Weiling and Mavis. Lol.
Went back to school, bathe and went to meet Michelle, Weiling, Bernard and Royce at Parkway Subway. Haha, we've been going there for 3 weeks in a row, and not once did I eat Subway, I buy macs, waffles, bread, KOI, anything but Subway. Royce calls me a Subway-hater. LOL. I love the cookies, but it's just that I don't find the Subs appetizing at all. Anyway, I bought Green Milk Tea LARGE 100% sugar today. 肥死我! Haha.
Tuition was alright, even though I'm now alittle confused on when to use linear combination and when not to. Just got home from tuition at 12midnight, and I just completed amending the stem cell research handout for tomorrow's GP. Damn, there's the Econs international trade test tomorrow too, and it's 1am now, I haven't touch my notes yet. Gotta at least go flip through alittle after I'm done with blogging this. Argh, so tired! Weiling, jiayou too! Both of us are like in the same boat, got GP to do, haven't touch Econs yet, and on top of everything, there's NAPHA 2.4km tomorrow. I never run for a long time, the last time I ran was the one Coach made us run, that's like about 3 months ago? I want to get my A but I cannot run already, too fat already. Today still drink large bubble tea, 100% sugar somemore! Let's just hope I still can run.
Sigh, tomorrow is a stressful day, with the running, test, maths remedial(Mr Ang is back, argh. He called those who failed MCT as failures today. And I felt so angry. How could he say that la?) and Econs extra lesson which will end so late! Long day ahead. =(
Congratulations guys on getting 3rd!!!
Tuesday, May 19, 2009 11:18 PM
FLOORBALL GUYS GOT 3RD!!!
They won YJ 5-2 today. Woohoo! Well done, guys! Totally did TJ Floorball proud! =D Photos, another day!
Was having a slight sore throat today, but after screaming at the game, it just got worse. I think it'll be so bad tomorrow that I probably won't talk much at all.
I wanna go support basketball and watch floorball finals tomorrow. But now I'm contemplating whether to, because one, I don't have a proper excuse and two, the girls aren't going. It'll be so awkward with only the floorball guys, even though I really wanna go support Shanmin. Maybe I should just stay in school and sleep until it's DLTC time or study for the H1 Econs international trade test on Thurs which I've a very strong feeling that I'm going to fail. LOL.
Alright, I'm done with my stem cell research handout, feeling tired, shall go sleep already. Goodnight! ^^
Opera Estate Primary School
Monday, May 18, 2009 10:16 PM
This was sent to me by Serene. Found it to be pretty interesting since I'm seldom asked about my primary school. And when I'm asked, my reply will always have people asking 'Do you all sing opera there?', then they start pretending to sing opera. LOL. I think it's a pretty low-profile school, not many people know where it's located. Well, it's located in Opera Estate. Hahaha. Okay la, Opera Estate is between Siglap and Chai Chee.
I definitely miss those times where I can sleep late, leave house 5 minutes before school starts and still reach school just seconds before the bell rings. Because I was living super near the school, in fact, I lived in the pink condo just opposite the school?!?! Been living there until I moved to Changi 2 years ago. Argh, why did I move?!?! If I'm still living there, it would take me less than 15 minutes to get home from TJ because TJ's only like 3 or 4 bus stops away? As compared to now when I've to take a 30-min bus ride just to get home? Sigh.
Anyway, primary school life to me, was perhaps the most carefree period of my life. I didn't have to worry about school work and stress was non-existent. Studying, for me, meant browsing through the textbook the day before the exam. No memorising, no stuggling to understand concepts or whatsoever. PSLE was a breeze, except sometimes I do regret not studying harder and getting into an elite school so that I ccould choo-train my way through secondary school and JC. Haha.
So anyway here's the tag Serene sent me: 1) Which school did you go to? Opera Estate Primary School. 奥匹垃小学.
2) What classes were you in? 1-2, 2-Jupiter, 3-Jupiter, 4-Jupiter, 5-Jupiter, 6-Jupiter (Jupiter FTW!)
3) What was/were your favourite lesson(s)? Chinese, because I like 余老师 alot. And yes, I do remember that in Pri 3, my group would always compete to see who's the first to complete our 习字.
4) If you could remember, what time was your recess? Can't remember the timing.
5) List down your favourite food/snacks. -Maggi Mee from Malay stall(owned by Rashidah's parents) in the old OEPS. It's super cheap(ranged from 20 to 50 cents) and nice. Until now, I still can remember the taste but I've never eaten another maggi mee that taste this nice after the stall moved away.
-Malay food in holding site. Very spicy food!
-Fish and Chips from Western Food stalls in new OEPS. But the portion just kept getting smaller as the days went by. LOL.
Style
1) Did you have a nickname way back in primary school? Don't think so. Does Mophead counts? Had really horrible hair then and I'm still reminded daily now by my EZ-link card!!! AAAHHH.
2) How did you wear your socks? Not knee-length, but still above ankle.
3) Have you been suspended due to the way you put on your uniform? Nope, our uniforms was the no-need-to-tuck-in kind. So there was nothing much to catch.
4) Were you given plenty of reminders about your appearance? Nope.
5) Who did you look up to when you were in primary school? Mrs Seah, 余老师, Ms Lim
Punishment
1) Name one memorable scene where you were punished in front of the whole class. Nope, I was Miss Goody-Two-Shoes.
2) How many times did you skip class? What were you doing? Never.
3) Give one scene where you escaped from being caught/punished. Can't remember or it never happened.
4) Did you vandalize any school property Nope.
5) Did you ever make any teacher cry? Nope.
6) Who was your favourite teacher? Mrs Seah, 余老师(best chinese teacher ever!), Ms Lim
7) Describe your DM. Mr Chua. Skinny. Dark. Scary-looking. I think he looked like some Japanese Occupation soldier.
8) Who was the funniest/weirdest/loudest teacher? Mdm Sim. She was never my teacher but I remembered she always performed for Chinese New Year celebration.
Social Circle
1) Were you popular back then? Nope.
2) Were you in a big group of boys/girls or small ones? Small group of girls.
3) Who were your best friends? Hweeli, Zhiying, Fongzhi, Kiara
4) Did you and your friends have nicknames? Nope.
5) What were your favourite memories of you and your friends? Playing crocodile at the Fitness Corner's sit-up benches, playing Ice-&-Water, catching what-you-call-that(beehinds or something like that, it's an insect which look very much like a bee but it doesn't have a sting) and putting them into containers, hanging out at the empty space behind classroom block.
Co-curricular Activities
1) What type of CCA were you in? No CCA. I was super slack. Does going for 2 trainings of table tennis count? My mom made me quit after that.
2) What did you have to bring to your CCA? NA
3) What did your CCA require you to do? NA
4) Got injured? Nope.
1) Who was your first crush? Nah, I was too immature to realise that boys existed and that you are supposed to like someone as you grow older. To me then, guys and girls were the same species. I think we were pretty much at the phase where both genders avoid each other as if the other has cooties or something. And people made fun of you if you like a certain guy in class. And when you finally went to sec school, you realise that it's childish and immature actually.
2) Are you in good terms with your last crush? NA
3) Did you ever had a relationship with anyone in your primary school? NA
4) Have you ever made out in school? NA
Closing Ceremony
1) How did primary school change you? Made me realise that primary school life is the most carefree time of one's life. And that I shouldn't take all these for granted.
2) Sing one verse of your school song. Okay, honestly, I can't remember the lyrics. So I took this from Serene:
Come let's learn together, in this happy loving school. Years pass with memories as we leave this jolly group. There's work of many sorts, we all must take our share. The future's bright for us, as we strive for the glorious goal.
Come let's live together, in this happy family. Can't really remember the 2nd verse. someone fill it up for me pls. =x
Come let's work together, in this _________. Everyone has a part to play (many thought it is 1-2-3! LOL!) and a duty to fulfil. To strive for achievement, there is no other way. The future's bright for us, as we strive for the glorious goal. The future's bright for us, as we strive...for the...glo-rious...gooalll..... :D
3) What was your favourite question? My favourite question is, 'may I know what this question is asking about?!?' LOL.
4) Who/what will you remember from your primary school? Everyone, everything. They shaped my primary school life the way it is.
5) Any memories you will forget. That I was once a Mophead? Hahaha.
I shall tag this to my primary school buddies: Hweeli and Zhiying!
A flustering day
8:55 PM
So I went for training last Saturday and it turned out I was the only J2 there. So awkward! I was late by about 15 minutes, and when I entered the hall, Coach was like 'Here comes Aunty Connie!' when they were in the middle of the up-down-left-right dribbling drill. Embarrassment to the max. And it turned out I couldn't finish the reflection report on time, I finished half of it on the bus and was planning to finish the rest at training during the breaks, but I got caught by Coach. He was like 'Connie! You're only writing now!?!?' but he said I could hand in on Wed so that I won't have to rush through. So I made a wasted trip to hand in my reflection report after all.
***
Went to school today with my GP essay half-done, and writing it during GP lesson infront of Ms Thangam. It was supposed to be handed in last Friday but I asked for the deadline to be shift back alittle. So I was supposed to complete it over the weekend but I procrastinated. Lol. She didn't kill me though. Phew.
Then after GP essay, it was cramming-for-chem-mockspa time! Because of the GP essay, I couldn't study for it yesterday night, and merely had enough time during break to look through and try to cram as much as I could into my little pea brain. And the fact that I missed the previous practice due to competitions made things worse, I didn't understand(and didn't have time to understand) how the sources of error came about, but I just memorised them anyway. Thank god mockspa turned out to be a breeze except that my calorimeter didn't even heat up much and would have took ages to rise to that 10degrees(even when I was done with my script, I checked the reading on the thermometer, it only rose 5degrees?!?!). In the end, I just made up a value. LOL. Ah Cat and I finished about half an hour before the submission time, and just left for lunch after handing in our scripts.
Ate alot today. 2 pratas, green milk tea and a KitKat Chunky. Okay, the KitKat Chunky, I was craving for it. Haha.
Biology lesson was the checking of our tissue cultures. Mine was a total failure, bacteria and fungus growing instead of carrots. The lesson ended early. Headed home and slept like a pig. Haven't had an afternoon nap in ages because I seldom reach home before the sun sets. Haha. Dinner after I woke up from the nap and watched Spiderman on TV. You may not believe it, but I have not watched it before. Lol. Because I never thought superheroes movies were nice, turned out I was wrong. Spiderman's nice.
Alright, gotta go research on stem cell research for GP now since I don't have time to do that tomorrow. Seeya!
Guys, play your best tomorrow!!! =D
Bio SPA is over!
Friday, May 15, 2009 9:33 PM
The week's been pretty hectic, there's so much to do, especially catching up on all those lectures that I've missed. I'm like totally lost in Hypothesis Testing now. Daniel Lek, 全靠你了! Then there's so much homework to do for next week. There goes my wonderful weekend and to think that I was planning to go shopping. =(
Bio SPA today was okay, guess how many times in total did I memorised the whole 6 pages before I went for the assessment? 6 times!!! I regurgitated the whole report on paper twice and went through it in my head 4 times! Omg, I think this is the first(and the last) time I've been so serious about Bio SPA. Skill A, double the marks leh, don't play play! I completed it on time, except that after that, I couldn't feel my arm anymore. Lol. Mr Tan was super nice! If only he's my bio teacher...then I would enjoy my favourite subject much more. Anyway, yay, no more Bio Spa!!! =D

Last Wednesday was tuition day! Yes, I like tuition. Great company, and tuition makes me feel more secured about my Math. HAHAHA. So after college cleanup, went to find Michelle, then we went to bathe. Then headed down to Cityhall to find Mavis' present, but we left empty-handed because it was last piece and the condition it was in was horrendous. Took bus to Parkway to meet Royce. We walked into Subway, we were about to sit at this table and turned to the right, omg, guess what we saw? 10 pairs of eyes staring at us! (Guess who, floorballers from our neighbouring school.) Lol. Oh my, Michelle felt like she was catwalking when she went up to the counter to buy her food and back. And I felt like I grew another head, either that or I transformed into Jennifer Aniston having stepped into Subway. Hahaha, dream on Connie.
I didn't eat Subway even though I was in one. I went opposite to buy macs and KOI!!! I changed flavour but still got a large one when I don't even know whether it'll taste nice. Got an Assam Black Tea, didn't know what's that, but when I came back, Michelle was like EEWWWW! But it was alright la. Bernard and Weiling came after a while, then Sophia, they each took a sip of the Assam-dunnowhat and thought it was okay, as in, not fantastic but still not too bad.
Tuition was about sampling methods and CLT. Daniel Lek's huge pink Hello Kitty soft toy was hilarious! He said it's for feng shui purposes at the new centre upstairs. Supposed to be a 招财猫, but he used a Hello Kitty instead? LOL! Maybe we should get a 招财猫 for him as a 'centre-warming' present. Haha.

Should I go for training tomorrow? I don't know the training time and I wanna sleep late tomorrow but Coach wants the reflection tomorrow. Problem is, I haven't wrote it yet. =X
Fight on guys!
Thursday, May 14, 2009 11:02 PM
Floorball guys, although you all might not have won today but you all did really well! And I really mean it. You guys played your best and fought as hard as you could, it was very obvious that you all ran so hard that you were all so tired. Yes, even though we were at the spectators stand, we could see all the tired faces. You all played well, it's just that they were faster, and you all had to run much faster and harder than your normal to get to the ball before they do, which was, I think, pretty much the reason why you all were so tired nearing the end of the game. But other than that, you guys definitely wasn't inferior in any aspect. In fact, the defence was good. I know some of you are upset with what certain teachers had said, but just throw it out of your mind and ignore them. They don't know what they're saying.
So pick youselves up and get back on your feet. Don't give up and end up disappointing Sonia( I think you guys won't even dare to) instead. You all have already achieved your initial aim of Top 4. People who had looked down on TJ floorball, you guy have proved them wrong and did us proud. So, for the next game: no pressure, no stress, just your best. =D
TJ Floorball, fight on!
On a side note, I just finish memorising 6 pages for tomorrow's Bio SPA, finally. Yay!!! ^^ Let's just hope I don't forget everything when I wake up tomorrow morning.
FLOORBALL GUYS ARE IN TOP 4!!!
Tuesday, May 12, 2009 10:25 PM
FLOORBALL GUYS GOT INTO TOP 4!!! Congrats congrats, you guys were wonderful! They won MI 6-0. Again, beautiful goals, amazing saves. We girls screamed and cheered like crazy, we even brought the 2 loud-hailers down. You know the feeling where you think you're going to have a sore throat soon, yeah, I'm having that feeling now. Guys, we sacrificed our throats to scream until we went hoarse and we will continue to do that on Thursday, so make your getting into Top 4 all worth it! ^^
Damn tired now, but I still need to finish my Econs CSQ because I go to bed. Aja, Connie!!!
End of the season
Friday, May 08, 2009 8:48 PM
Lost 7-1. Marks the end of the season. We've definitely improved so much since last year. Well done girls! Overall, it was a good closure to floorball, it's just that getting yelled at and made to sit out wasn't how I wanted to end my TJ floorball career with. Sigh. Thanks to those who were there to make me feel better, I don't know what got over me, probably because I don't get yelled at very often, at least not like that.
Honestly, I'm pretty disappointed with my performance this A Div. My confidence level just kept dropping with every game, and it certainly didn't help when you keep making silly mistakes. It sucks, sometimes I feel that even my performance at A Div last year was way better than this year's. It's so disappointing that the efforts and hard work didn't pay off at all. Darn, but what's done is done. Right now, it's all about catching up with schoolwork and putting my all in preparing for The Big A.
***
After the match we came back to school, then we went to Eighteen Chefs for a really late lunch. Quality time with the team! It was really fun, eating, joking, gossiping and re-enacting scenes from Miss Swan. Lol. Made me feel like re-watching the Miss Swan episodes on youtube again. Haha!
I love TJ Floorball! Great thanks to the seniors who took leave from work and tried to come down as many matches as they could, the juniors(we haven't been able to thank you all properly, we will, soon) who prepared the ice box, bought bananas for us and made sure the first aid box, house sticks and every essential stuff was there, and the boys who came down to support us today despite having to skip lessons. And thank you girls for everything. I've never regretted joining TJ Floorball. In fact, TJ Floorball is the best thing that ever happened to me in my entire TJ life.
I'm proud to be a TJ Floorballer.
Congrats guys!
Thursday, May 07, 2009 9:51 PM
Congratulations to the guys team! They won NY 5-4. The girls team went down to support, and nearly suffered heart attacks and we screamed ourselves hoarse. I think I'm going to have a sore throat tomorrow. Lol. Interesting match, beautiful goals amazing saves(omg, Rafay was totally imba!). Good job guys! I thought NY did well too, they played hard and never once did they give up.
***
0-0 against ACJC. Definitely devastated. But girls, that was yesterday. Do not brood over it anymore, get on with it! Tomorrow, will be the last match of our A Div, for some who are not intending to play floorball anymore, it will be the last floorball match of their lives. So, let's just go in there, play our hardest, play our best, play to our fullest potential. Just like how the NY guys did today. We have nothing to lose but everything to gain! And remember, when you put on that jersey, you represent yourself, your teammates, juniors, seniors, Coach, Mr Tan, and TJC. That's exactly all the people we play for. We will play to represent them well!
Go, T-T-T-T-TJC!!!
Happy Anniversary, Mom & Dad!
Tuesday, May 05, 2009 10:56 PM
Happy 22nd Anniversary, Mom and Dad!!! And many more to come!!! ^^
It's a pity we couldn't celebrate today because my Dad was down with a high fever. But we postponed the celebration to the upcoming Saturday. =)

School ended at 11.40am for me today. Spent the rest of the day preparing for someone's present. I've never done anything handmade for anyone before and this time, I even went all the way to the airport to get the stuffs I needed to make, so you better like it ah! Don't like also must pretend to like! Hahaha.
Alright, I need to go pack my stuffs for tomorrow's match before I go to sleep.
Slim? NOT!
Monday, May 04, 2009 8:54 PM
Lost 4-1. I willed myself not to cry when the final whistle sounded, but upon seeing some of the girls cry, my own tears were threatening to fall. All because of coach's "Girls, wipe your tears! I don't want to see anyone cry!" that I held back my tears. Then, I just felt numb. I thought I was okay, laughing together with the girls(thanks, you guys are a great bunch!), laughing with Michelle and Weiling at Farah who almost walked into this sharp corner of the stairs while examining her bra and who dropped her bra into a puddle of water when we were having lunch. Lol. Well, I thought I was okay, until I departed with the girls after our late lunch opposite school and got on the bus home. Reality set in. We lost 2 games, so where do we go from here? Then I thought of how badly I've played for A Div, how we were so close, how disappointed Coach must have been(I'm not sure, but I personally felt that he must have had high hopes on us). With all these negative thoughts, I felt so bad that I couldn't stand myself or rather, I hated myself for thinking this way. I felt so rotten that I decided that I just had to re-adjust my thinking. Am I going continue playing like this? Are we going to continue to be so near yet so far or are we going to be far ahead? Are we going to continue to do Coach proud or are we going to let him taste disappointment instead?
I know the chances are slim, but if we keep thinking that way, they will just get slimmer and slimmer until they eventually disappear. It's just like curving your index fingers and point them towards each other with a gap of about 2cm between them, stare at the tips of your index fingers and you'll realised that the gap is becoming smaller and smaller and then, your fingertips will eventually touch each other. Our chances is just like this gap, if we don't will ourselves to be stronger, to resist whatever that is meant to make our chances lower(just like how we can will our fingers to stay where they are instead of moving towards each other) and to make the best out of every chance we have, very soon we'll find ourselves with nothing left, not even the slimmest chance.

I have missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot. . . and missed. And I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why... I succeed. - Michael Jordan
Look, Michael Jordan lost 300 games. In terms of that, we aren't even close. And no, we definitely haven't missed 9000 shots yet. So who are we to say that we've failed when Michael Jordan found success after missing 9000 shots and losing 300 games?
And here's the same old thing because I really like this quote alot:
The real glory is being knocked to your knees and then coming back. That's real glory.
-Vince Lombardi
Long weekend once more.
Friday, May 01, 2009 9:58 PM
Long weekend!!! =DDD
An okay week for me. Just that Maths tuition after floorball training on Wednesday was super tiring, I wondered how I managed to survive through the tuition. Michelle, Weiling, Bernard, Sophia and I had what Michelle called as 'jail food' at Parkway. It was actually steamed rice with some other steam dishes. Then we went over to KOI. This time I got the LARGE 100% SUGAR green milk tea. 肥死我! Hahaha. But it's seriously super nice. I think I'm going to get the Large every time I go for tuition because bubble tea is the thing that keeps me awake throughout tuition. Lol.
Maths test turned out to be quite alright. By 'quite alright', it means that if I'm lucky and didn't make any stupid careless mistakes, I might scrape a pass. I shall see it next week whether I passed or not.
Today was another slacky day. Woke up at 10am, watched TV until 1pm, went for dimsum, then accompanied my parents to Park Mall to look for furniture, then to Paragon to shop and have dinner. Crumpler didn't have in stock the black Complete Seed that I wanted. All that were left were all the weird colours. Gotta wait I guess. =(

CAN Marathon
10:25 PM
The Pact
Thursday, May 28, 2009 9:51 PM

Long weekend once more.

More About Me
First of all, I'm a Kpop fan, especially of 2PM, MBLAQ, 2NE1 and FT Island. Actually, I like Kpop, Korean entertainment, Korean dramas, Korean language, Korean culture, Korean food, basically anything Korean. So I guess you can call me a fan of Korea.
Second, eating is one of my favourite pastimes. I think my size says it all. =P I'm not picky about food but there's only one thing that I don't like eating, that is, sweet potato.
Third, I love sports. Been playing table tennis for about 6 years now, and floorball, 2 years. But I would have to say that I like floorball more. I don't know, but putting the ball into the goal, making an accurate pass, chasing after the ball, even sweating like a pig, gives me the sense of satisfaction that nothing else can.
Fourth, I can't live without the Internet. You can take away my phone, TV, mp3, bed, but please don't take away my Internet because...I just can't live without the internet.
Lastly, if there's anything I dislike, it would have to be making decisions. Where to go, what to eat, what to do next, which is nicer/better...I just don't like deciding. I always leave it to others because honestly, it doesn't matter where we're going, what we're eating or what we're doing to do. What matters most is the company and whether we're having a great time together.
